Powerboat Operation & Pyrotechnics Training

Boat Operators Certification & Pyrotechnics Training.

This hands-on Training Event will be held at the waterside home of a District 4 USPS member in the Toms River area. These training sessions are required for Inland & Coastal Navigator BOC Candidates.

Basic Powerboat Handeling

Boat Operators are trained/tested in Basic Powerboat Handeling in a 4 hour 4 person small boat suitation. Included in the test are such basic skills as docking, Man Overboard drills and tight maneuvering at speed. Boats are supplies. A Inland Navigator registration is required. Pyrotechnics Training

Participants will see different types of flares and launchers in actual use. You can bring own flares and pyrotechnics to try under supervised conditions.

North River will coordinate transportation to this event. Members can expect transport costs of approximately $25 to get to this all day District OTW training event.
