Weather Course for Boaters

Where, Why , How & what you can do about it

Learn about predicting weather I n your boating environment. Learn how to predict weather at sea where there are no forecasts.

USPS’s Weather course teaches the following topics in eight 2 hour sessions. We meet Mondays 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM starting March 23. Here’s the topics we will cover:

• What a barometer tells you
• How does the jet stream really work?
• Hurricanes, and how to avoid them
• Why does it snow when it’s above freezing?
• Al about lightening
• How do I predict weather from clouds?

All this, and much more. You don’t need a science background to attend, and all concepts will be presented in an easy to understand manor. Interested people can obtain USPS Educational credit via a multiple choice test at the end of the course.
