Junior Navigation 2018

First of two open ocean navigation USPS offers, JN covers ocean plotting, navigation software and celestial navigation. Students are prepared to serve as Navigator on an ocean voyage, with a sample Newport-Bermuda cruise and an equivalent test.

This course is useful both for USCG Masters wishing to upgrade their licenses and persons wishing to learn skills useful in ocean navigation.

The course is plotting-heavy, and requires time and dedication for successful completion. Potential students who are rusty on their chart skills should consider our Advanced Piloting course before enrolling.
